Our second day at sea

We had a second day at sea so it gave us a chance to catch up on our rest.  Noel played some games and Tom attended a lecture.  Weather is beautiful with some wind, but very warm.  Noel won bingo so we are now up $20 for the cruise.  Tonight was the Captains welcome reception.  We arrive at Curacau in the morning where we are taking a oveview tour.  The above picture is the crew versus passengers putting contest and the captain is taking a turn.

Our first day at sea

This is our first day at sea, it is quite windy outside but we are traveling straight into it so the ride is very smooth.  We passed Cuba this morning and Tom gave a one finger salute to Fidel.  We have met several friends from prior cruises and have already made some new friends.  One couple we have met are from Honolulu and we plan on having dinner with them in a few days.  Noel played her first game (did not win!) today and Tom attended the first lecture.  The pictures above are of our sister ship the Seven Sea Navigator as she left the Port at Ft Lauderdale on Friday night, she had been at the adjacent dock. We followed right after.  The other photo is Tom reading in our suite.

We made it to Florida!!

We arrived in Florida about five hours late so we did not have much time to relax before our gala dinner.  This event was only for the passengers on the full circle South America cruise.  We were surprised to learn that there are 193 full cruisers.  We had a cocktail hour and a nice dinner with entertainment by the old group "The Platters".  We were able to have breakfast the next morning with our niece Katie and her husband Chad before we boarded our ship.

Not a great start

We are not off to a great start as our red eye flight from Honolulu to Dallas has been delayed by at least four hours and we are going to miss our connection to Miami.  We are supposed to attend a "gala" dinner tomorrow night in our hotel so hope we can make it in time.
